 CCPC - CAHO Capital Procurement Cooperative

The Council of Academic Hospitals of Ontario (CAHO) is a not-for-profit organization that represents Ontario’s twenty-five academic hospitals.  CAHO member hospitals are fully affiliated with a university medical or health sciences faculty.  Their mandate is to find new and better ways to understand and treat diseases, improve health, care for patients, enhance access and help the entire health care system work at its best for patients.  For more information, refer to www.caho-hospitals.com.

 

In 2007, CAHO and its 25 member hospitals launched a pilot initiative to collaboratively procure capital equipment.  For this initiative, CAHO has engaged the CAHO Capital Procurement Cooperative (CCPC) to provide purchasing services. The CCPC is a consortium of three shared services/group purchasing organizations that currently provide purchasing services to individual CAHO member hospitals, namely Healthcare Materials Management Services, Plexxus, and the St. Joseph’s Health System Group Purchasing Organization.
